6. What is the solution to homelessness in the US?

The biggest reason for people becoming homeless is that they don’t have a job to earn money. Some people say “give free house and food to the homeless”. However, if the government gives them the benefits for free, homelessness will be increased because people know that without hard work, they can get the benefits. It causes people to get lazy and as a result, society in the US becomes worse. I have a good solution to homelessness in the US. First, the government makes a new system which gives good opportunity for the homeless to live a better life. The system is to provide free shelter, food, and education to the homeless who wants to get a job and get away from homelessness. However, unlike free handouts, this system should have incentives to encourage the homeless to pay the system back. For example, at the beginning, there may be training programs in which the participants have to successfully complete. Then they can be placed in a job and start to pay back through taxes, or if they want to continue education, maintain a certain GPA in a college. After graduation, they can be success stories to motivate future participants as they pay back this system. For this system to work, the government has to establish places of employment and schools to provide training to the homeless.
